Should Christians believe in purgatory? Is purgatory Biblical? We’ll examine those questions in light of what Scripture says.
<p>Do you worry? According to one source, “anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older (18% of U.S. population).” Seems like a lot of people do worry, so if you do also, you have a lot of company. But what does the bible tell us to do with our worries?</p>
<p>What happens to those who have never heard the gospel? Don’t they get to go to heaven? Or can God, in all his sovereignty, enable the peoples of long lost tribes will hear the gospel and be saved?</p>

<p>With the Catholic church electing a new pope, I thought it would be a good time to make Christians aware of what the Catholic church teaches about the papacy. I’m hopeful that you can use this information to open up a conversation that allows Christians to share the gospel with their Catholic friends.</p>
The Catholic church said salvation was by Christ plus works, sacraments, etc. The Reformers said it was Christ alone.
<p>Romans 5 begins with “<em>Therefore, having been justified by faith</em>.” Justified how? By works? No, by faith alone.</p>
<p>The Reformers rejected the notion that man has the ability in himself to reject or accept God’s salvation in Christ. We are saved by God's grace alone.</p>
<p>God’s Word is the ultimate authority, and is the infallible rule of faith for the church.</p>
<p>Over the next few articles we'll explore the five beliefs that emerged as most prominent in the Reformers’ teaching, in direct contradiction to the main teaching of the Catholic Church.</p>
